Folkestone, Equality Soup Kitchen
This first year project focused on designing a building within Folkestone that served the community. When researching the local social atmosphere within Folkestone I was surprised at how much class difference and gentrification there was within the area. Due to this I wanted to design a soup kitchen in which everyone is equal. To do this one must wear an overall that is all the same to remove prejudice over the way one dresses. And is supplied the same soup to everyone else. Via a heightened kitchen and delivery system. So that the workers are very much separated from the customers. People sit all at the same table and are treated all equally. With the same self service. This module was all hand drawn.Existing Building Survey.
