OBSCURA Film

Existence is divided in two.

For the days of delectation contrast from the desensitised of the dark.

For we live in the sight of our minds.

In irony following blind our camera obscura, acclimatised to the un-obscured and of bright.

For we live into the night.

The craving for comfort leads to the creation of the light and so our sight, given to the soul of community an infra-ordinary object.

The streetlight shone in the dark.

 

For welcoming interaction, a source of safety and of clarity.

To move not in the shadow cast from the climbing of constituency’s and civilised form.

From today movement to tomorrow means not a reduction in understanding of physicality.

And so behaviours past the time of sun lead to be defined by an artificial path.

A foundation of security, a barrier into comfort.

the Luminosity leads to its addiction and attraction.

And so in day camouflaged upon the furniture of the street out of sight.

Still un-obvious in night yet merely adding the awareness of the infra ordinary still… without any thought.

 

The centre of this documentation;

The aim to record what we do no longer consider.

Our complacency leads to the acceptance of a lit path.

Drawing more to the personification of a moth.

And so photography leads us to the literal;

Photo meaning light and the drawing drawn by the graph-y down to its most basic.

Fundamentally a camera obscura much like the two we own.

The capture and entrapment of an image. projected in, reflected vertically.

Developed in the shadows a permanent review of the infra ordinary.

A presentable drawing to describe our attempts of feeding our needs to comfort.

And so angled by a leg, fixed to our movements, we capture the perspective that we have designed to last us through the night.
